Transgender awareness training

Picture
This course, run by Bobbi Pickard the award winning co-chair of BP Pride’s Transgender Group and co-founder of Trans in the City is everything you need to bring yourself up to speed with transgender; how it affects individuals and what causes it, how society, companies and the law can deal with the huge variety of different transgender people and what you can do to help and be an effective ally.

Bobbi, a trans woman who started her transition in 2017, brings personal stories and examples into the session providing first hand insight and dry humour to explain what a sometimes difficult and dark journey being transgender can be but also what hugely fulfilling and positive experiences also occur.

The course is run in a completely open, honest and frank way and is designed for people of all knowledge levels on the subject - all questions, whether thought silly, offensive, politically incorrect or, well, anything at all are positively encouraged - it's run to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision on how you feel about transgender.

Most of all its interesting, funny, fairly irreverent and importantly: a completely safe learning environment.

The course can be tailored to cover any specific areas of interest and is usually between 1-1.5 hours in length.

Bobbi endeavors to keep all costs for the training to an absolute minimum, especially for schools and other voluntary organisations but please contact her for more details.
